What is EFT Tapping Therapy?

So you’ve heard about EFT Tapping Therapy, but you don’t know what it is, right? So I get this question a lot.

Well, EFT stands for The Emotional Freedom Techniques. And it’s this technique was founded by a man named Gary Craig in the mid-nineties.

It’s comprised largely of tapping on acupuncture meridian points on the body. Most of the videos that you see show you tapping on different points on the face, but professional EFT practitioners are going to use more points than that, hand points and body points or whatever.

So EFT, also known as EFT Tapping, is a kind of acupuncture for your emotions. So that seems really odd to people because they’ve never even really thought about the possibility of healing their emotions, right?

We talk about mental health, we talk about spiritual health, and of course, we talk about physical health. But when do people ever stop and think about emotional health, when it is such an important part of our overall health?

In fact, everything else is linked to your emotions. We know that because we see people who are under stress get sick, right? So what EFT Tapping Therapy does is it tunes in to the underlying stressor, the emotion, or the trauma that has caused the blockage in the body’s energy system, which has caused the symptoms.

And then when you are tuned into that information in your energy system and then tap on it, it clears that trauma, or that it could be a limiting belief, it could be a lot of different things. And so your energy begins to flow correctly because your body runs on energy, right? And once the energy begins to flow correctly, then you no longer have the symptom, whether that symptom is anxiety or stress or pain or fear or, you know, a million other things.

So that is, in a very brief description what EFT Tapping Therapy is.
