Hi. I'm Deborah Lindsey.

As a farm kid back in Pennsylvania, I was always drawn to healing mostly because my mom really struggled with her mental and emotional health. She was in and out of "the 7th floor" at the local hospital and I always just wanted to help her.

Then when I too found myself struck with debilitating anxiety in the mid-90's, I knew I couldn't go down the same path of endless pills and therapy. So I started looking under every rock for a solution.

I tried all the usual suspects (and some not so usual). I might get some short-term relief, but none of it really worked.

Until one day I was at an alternative health fair and this guy named Ken could see that I was visibly shaking. He offered to show me tapping. At that moment, I would have tried anything! But when we started tapping I thought this was the most ridiculous thing I had every seen! How in the world was tapping on my face going to help me with anxiety?! I think I even rolled my eyes at him! But I couldn't deny that it helped. In just 5 or 10 minutes of tapping, I was calm. I hadn't felt that calm in years! I was hooked!

That simple act of kindness by a stranger changed my whole life. I went home that night, jumped on my computer, waited on the pages to load (as we did in those days), and started the journey to getting certified through EFT founder Gary Craig and Patricia Carrington.

I went on to open "The Self-Health and Awareness Center" where I helped hundreds and hundreds of clients over the next 12 years. This experience is what separates me from every other teacher in the professional EFT space today. Look around. I'm the only one who actually worked as a professional practitioner for more than a decade. When I teach you EFT, I teach you from the perspective of someone who knows what it takes to get someone really well — even people who no one else could help.

In 2009, after teaching EFT in a live setting for 8 years or so, I decided to do something crazy and take the training online. I was part of a team that was creating the International Metaphysical University at the time (I went on to serve as President until about 2016). It was the perfect opportunity.

It worked better than anyone thought it would! The online training gave my students consistent, comprehensive training, the opportunity to review the content as often as they wanted, and the capacity to work at their own pace. More importantly, it was now available to students all over the world!

Since then, I'm honored to say that I have trained more than 5,000 of the best-trained EFT practitioners in the world and I was even invited to be a part of the Tapping World Summit in 2020, which went out to more than a million people worldwide.
