Delineating Between Clinical EFT Techniques and Core EFT Teachings

Untitled Design 2

Are There Really 48 Tapping Techniques?

The Emotional Freedom Techniques is not just tapping. It is a wide variety of techniques that are used along with tapping to help glean maximum results with your clients.

So when people talk about the 48 Essential Core Clinical EFT Techniques it can be quite confusing.

To clarify things, perhaps, we should delineate between “techniques” and “teachings.”

That is because there aren’t “48 Tapping Techniques” in the true sense. There are, however, many important core teachings necessary for any professional EFT Tapping practitioner to know.

While there are many core teachings that people use to apply EFT, the list of actual EFT Techniques is much more limited.

What is an EFT Tapping Technique?

EFT Techniques are a specific protocol for the application of EFT Tapping. You will learn the basic techniques in any credible and accredited EFT certification program.

For example, the most widely used EFT Tapping techniques would be the Tell the Story Technique, the Movie Technique, Chasing the Pain,  the Tearless Trauma Technique, and Surrogate Tapping.

Other techniques, many of them newer techniques or techniques not created by Gary Craig himself, would include Imagine Tapping, Silent Tapping, The Blueberry Pancakes Technique,  The Box Technique, The Choices Technique, Matrix Reimprinting, Touch and Breathe, Talk and Tap, Tap and Rant, Perspective Switching, Imagine Violence, and Able, Willing, and Willing.

What Are the 48 Clinical EFT Techniques?

Below, I have outlined what listed as “The 48 Clinical EFT Tapping Techniques” as designated by the EFT Universe.

It should be noted that Clinical EFT is a brand name owned by EFT Universe. At the Center for EFT Studies, we teach Classic EFT, sometimes referred to as Gold Standard EFT, as created by EFT Founder Gary Craig

Here at the Center for EFT Studies, we cover all but 3 of the 48 Clinical EFT Techniques, excluding the Floor to Ceiling Eyeroll, Collarbone Breathing, and Applying EFT over the Telephone.

We have chosen not to use time in the tapping training because they aren’t relevant to modern EFT Tapping.

While we do not cover these three topics, we do offer 75 additional teachings to help you learn EFT as a professional EFT practitioner.
